Free Crochet Amigurumi Dog Bed Pattern

 

Accessories for your little doggies are here!

This bed is quick, interchangeable with our felted knit bed and works with any of our stand-up critters, so you can make a bed for your puppy, kitty, bear and badger. Cushions are removable too.

Finished Size:
 Approximately 2.5 inches (6cm) wide.

Crochet Hook:
 Size E-4 US (3.5mm).

Yarn:
 Acrylic worsted weight. Yardages are approximate:

    • DARK GREEN, 1 skein.
    • BEIGE, 1 skein.

Other Supplies:

    • Yarn or tapestry needle; embroidery needle. 

Stitches & Abbreviations:

    • CH: Chain.
    • INVDEC: Invisible decrease: Insert the hook through the front loop of st and then through the front loop of the next st. Yarn over and pull yarn through both front loops. Yarn over and pull through both loops on hook.
    • MR (Make ring): Make a loop by putting the yarn tail behind the yarn from the skein. Leave a 4″ (10cm) tail. Using the hook, pull the working yarn through the loop, leaving a loop now on the hook. 
    • RND: Round.
    • SC: Single crochet.
    • DC: Double crochet.
    • SC2TOG: Single crochet two together.
    • SL ST: Slip Stitch.
 


BED

Bed is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rnds. You may wish to use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of a rnd. 

Starting at bottom of Bed with E-4/3.5mm hook and DARK GREEN, mr. 
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, pull starting ring closed. (6 sts) 
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc. (12 sts) 
Rnd 3: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (18 sts)
Rnd 4: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (24 sts) 
Rnd 5: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (30 sts)
Rnd 6: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (36 sts) 
Rnd 7: Sc in back loop of each sc.
Rnd 8: Sc in each sc.
Rnd 9: Dc in next 15 sc, sl st in next 6 sc, dc in next 14 sc, sc in next sc.
Cut yarn leaving 8 inch (20cm) tail. Weave in ends.

CUSHION

Cushion is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rnds. You may wish to use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of a rnd. 

Starting at bottom of bottle with E-4/3.5mm hook and BEIGE, mr. 
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, pull starting ring closed. (6 sts) 
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc. (12 sts) 
Rnd 3: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (18 sts)
Rnd 4: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (24 sts)
Rnd 5: Inc 6 sc evenly spaced. (30 sts)
Rnd 6: Sc in each sc.
Rnd 7: Invdec 6 sc evenly. (24 sts)
Rnd 8: Invdec 6 sc evenly. (18 sts)
Rnd 9: Invdec 6 sc evenly. (12 sts)
Cut yarn leaving 8 inch (20cm) tail. Using a tapestry needle, insert needle through loop of each stitch and pull tight to close hole. Weave in ends. Place cushion in bed as shown in DIAGRAM 1. Secure if desired.
