Our journey begins in 2006 with a stubborn girl who didn't want to crochet. "But that's what all the popular kids are doing!" Instead, she decided to make cute things by knitting wool and then shrinking it like she did with so many sweaters. Except, this time, it was on purpose.
With a pencil and paper, the design was simple. Simple on purpose. Make it cute with as little extras as possible. Explore the animal, figure out what makes a person see it as that animal or other thingie and take away the extra details. Then make the eyes stare into your soul until you can't take the cute anymore and your head explodes.
Right there, because of ALL. THAT. CUTENESS.
